I want to say thank you for visiting our site and welcome. Children's Ministry has been my passion for many years. I have served all over the southeast: TX, AL, MS, & FL. My beautiful, awesome, amazing, brilliant, etc... wife and I have three, crazy, fun, hilarious, amazing, etc... kids of our own. They keep us busy and inspire our family to seek innovative ways to present the Gospel to other families. One GREAT joy in my life is seeing young hearts surrender to Christ. Preschool Ministry

Birth-5yrs.

1st Konnection TipsCheck-In/Pick-UpWe ask that children be dropped off no sooner than 15 minutes before an event starts. Please do not leave a child unattended in a room. All children need to be picked up immediately after any church event is over. If you are serving in the church after service please make arrangements for someone to pick up your child. When picking up your child please make sure that you have your pick up tag to give to the teacher. Your child will not be released without the tag.LabelingWe ask that you label all your child’s belongings (i.e. diaper bag, bottles/cups, coats, blankets, etc). We will provide labels at check in if they are not marked.FoodSnacks will be provided each Sunday. Please make sure leaders are aware of any allergies.Peek-InsWhen you peek in to check on your child, he/she may become upset if they see you. For this reason please ask one of our workers in the preschool area to check on your child. If at any time your child needs you then we will come get you.MedicationsOur teachers/workers are not allowed to give medication to your child. For children still in diapers, workers are allowed to apply diaper cream as long as instructions are given and cream is provided.IllnessPlease do not bring your child to the nursery if they are exhibiting any of the following symptoms: Diarrhea *Fever (Any with in the last 24hrs) *Yellow or green nasal discharge *Drainage/Discharge from the eyes *Any other symptoms of illnessWe appreciate your consideration in helping keep our little ones healthy. Our Preschool Director and Children’s Pastor reserve the right to keep anyone out of the nursery that appears ill. If your child becomes ill at church we will notify you immediately. DisciplineNo type of corporal punishment is used at our church. We strive to teach each child to make the right choices, not scare them into obedience. In the case of a child who hits or bites, we will remove the child from the classroom for the safety of the other children. If the child will not respond to the preschool staff then the parents will be brought in.In case of an emergency, there is a posted safety plan in each room. Your child’s teachers will ensure that your child is removed from the building safely. We will not release any children until all the children are safe and accounted for.

Parents,I first and foremost want to say that your child/children are a priority here at First Baptist. We offer a safe learning environment for each child that attends. All of our workers have gone through background checks and are qualified to work with the children here. We clean all of the toys after each use, and play close attention to any allergies that may be present. We want to make sure that you feel comfortable with allowing us to be apart of your child's life and help build the spiritual foundation to grow from. We invite all moms to be apart of our Shout ministry which helps mom's of children of all ages get together and talk, share and have fun while their children play together. AWANA AWANA is a nationally based program... which blends Bible teaching, evangelism, Scripture memorization, and exciting games. Impacting kids from 2 years old through 6th grade, our AWANA Club meets Sunday evenings beginning at 5:30 pm till 7:00 pm. Please register at the Children's Welcome area immediately through the north entrance of the church. The cost for membership is $15 per semester/child.
